Nope, don't do anything that isn't specifically tuned for.

i talked to Jerry at Deadbolt about it, because I am thinking of sending mine VF34 there, he said he has several customers who are running this without problems. Why would something like P&P cause problems isnt it just for better air flow?

Why would you post if you didn't want an opinion?

I still wouldn'nt use the map, you're way better off getting a custom one made for he same price. The cobb maps are generic and made for a specific car with a specific set of modifications.

How about upgrading to Street Tuner, installing a wideband and doing some road tuning, it's not as good as a dyno tune, but much better than running a general map.

My guess is because joe schmo will be tuning it vs. someone who knows what they are doing.
I wouldn't trust myself to do my own tuning. But that's just me.

What he said I was meaning opposed to something like an Ecutek tune through Gruppe-S or Xede tune through Vishnu. A good tune with someone who is very familiar with the car and the software they are using versus someone like me trying to tune my own, even though I know what I'm doing relatively well, I doubt a tune done by me would be as safe or have as much power as a tune from the Moike

Yeah... pro dyno tune>pro off-the-shelf map>self-tune. I was wonderign why you suggested the AP over the standard maps. There's nothing unsafe about mail order reflashes if they come from a reputable tuner.
