has anyone got a custom catback or had one built for their wrx? Kteller.com sells premade custom 3" catback piping for wrxs for $200. no muffler included but i already have one so thats no problem. i was just looking for some input to see what you think and just share this idea.

 

Most aftermarket ones are no super genious feats of racing engineering. Going custom is fine. The only issue is fitment. Decent aftermarket ones have already been tested for proper fit, knock, bangs, scrapes, height, noises, etc. You pay more for the hours of testing, bending, rebending, etc... Do it right the first time and save yourself ~ $400. Screw it up and you'll be wishing you bought one off the shelf.

i had a custom cat back made about a year ago. fit fine on my car, and sounds pretty good. another member here had a cat back fabbed up by the same shop. he had to have his redone by somebody else because the fit was so bad. like all things in life, you get what you pay for.
