I recently changed the plugs in my 2002 WRX and I went to Autolite APP3923 Double Platinum plugs, it is the OE Style replacement.

I did slightly over gap them, I gapped them @ .8mm (.033) instead of the .030 that it called for, mainly cause I needed it done (going on a road trip) and could not find gap info anyplace. I know it was stupid, but I felt at the time I did not have alot of choise, now I am experencing power loss, very little, maybe 20 HP., the fuel mileage was not effected by this at all though.

Now I am wondering sence I have not done anythinkg else to my car other then changing the plugs is:

1. Is the over gap of .003 really causing it?

2. Is the fact I replaced the NGK's with Autolite?

3. Something else is dying?

4. #1 and #2!

5. All the above?

Any input would be much appreciated, even some mild name calling would be acceptable.
