Cobb Reflash?
ok.. i searched but i didnt find anything to my advantage.. i was wondering with this whole "reflash" thing that cobb does.. its basically a remapping of the ECU right? for better performance and things to that extent?
i was just confused as all hell what Reflash meant and what exactly Cobb does to it and how much performance is gained by sending my ECU into Cobb Tuning..
well i just went into the engine management section of the site and it helped a bit.. stupid me.. but lemme get this straight.. is the stock turbo in the car a VF30? im still relatively new to wrx's so im still trying to get all the codes down in memory..
and as far as the accessport thing goes.. i have 5 things to choose from at all times? so if i am in the parking lot i can change it to Anti-Theft mode and nobody would be able to take my car? So it has a switch or something?

maybe try reading their site. www.cobbtuning.com. hopefully all your questions will be answered.
as for the vf30 in the wrx...nope we have the td-04.

Yeah the VF 30 is an aftermarket turbo. The performance from the reflash is pretty damn good. They've got a few dyno charts. Also, if you have other mods, it's safer to have the reflash, because your engine then works more efficiently with the new parts. Yes, the accessport has different "settings" if you will. So you could cruise through town on "economy" mode and save on gas, and then flip it into "race" mode when you want to impress the ladies, and then into "valet" when you drop your car off at the restaurant.
To change modes you have to be pluged into the OBD2 diag port and have the unit with you. So, if you drive it some where and change it to anitheft and then leave it in the car you are defeating the purpose. If you took it with you that would be good. I think the antitheft is good when you park it at night or have to leacve for the weekend or something. Stage one or two is good for a mostly stock wrx. You have to ahve a DP to use stage two though. I wish we had a VF-30 stock. That would rock. Good luck. I am waiting on my stage two(accesport) right now.
