Question To all you Borla Hush owners...

I've been running the exhaust for about the last 3 weeks and love it so far. I ran into a bit of a problem when i torqued the donut gasket flange on the borla and i bent the flange a tad, therefore causing the exhaust to not seat properly.

Anyway, the exhaust seems to be in good working order so far with a tiny leak in that area. I was wondering if any of you guys got the 3" connection instead of the original 2.5" tappered connection. i figured i'd might as well get the new connection seeing how i screwed up the last one.

Anyone know how about getting it and how much it'll cost? i remember hearing about MPJperformance special ordering the design but am not sure what came of it.

Someone fill me in...

just FYI I also ended up with a small leak @ the douhnut gasket juncture. It went on slightly cockeyed. However that is when it was torqued to "tight enough". I busted out the torque wrench and torqued it to spec and it stopped leaking. I was using a new doughnut gasket FWIW.

This may be a little off topic but I do have a question about the borla hush. Is this system quieter than stock because I still want an exhaust that I can hear and sounds good but I do not want it to be super loud. I don't want my car to get much louder but I would still like it atleast to be close to stock.

Eric: Did you find the leak by putting your hand by the connection with the donut gasket? I'm sorry to hear that but I suppose like you could get a new gasket, they charge about $30 bucks from the dealer. Wish I could give you some other ideas on how to fix the bent metal.

Iceman: I've been totally happy with the borla hush system, I can tell it's there but I do notice that it idles at a lower RPM than stock and I cann't hear it with the radio on, but with the radio off I can tell that it's there.

What 3" flange? Where do you get this mythical beast? I thought Hush owners were stuck either using the 2.5" or hacking a 3".

Thanks,
