EJ20 Twin Turbo Powerplant

I am looking at doing either an EJ20T USDM Engine or JDM EJ20tt engine into my BD Legacy. I have not heard anything about the twin turbo motor and wanted some feedback as to the reliability and mod availability for these motors and which engine may be the better choice.

Yeah, I saw a twin-turbo EJ20 at nippon motors, and I was wondering what it was all about as well....

Id say got with the USDM ej20. yes you will spend more for it compared to what like $650 for the long block from nippon i think it is. But you will spend your life searching parts to get it to work i think. As for modding the ej20TT I would bet youll end up going single turbo to save alot of hassle. I know some think WOW 2 TURBOS must be twice as fast huh...nah its just two smaller turbos then the one stock. Like any V style engine (ours flat) the manufactors go twin turbo for convenence of running the exhuast manifold/headers.

twin turbo to me just means twice the problems in the long run. Most if not all supra, and rx7's owners go single with there set up when modding big.

I have a 99RS with a 2002 usdm wrx engine and drivetrain...Im sooooo happy I went with it considering the aftermarket thats here for it (allthough most ej20's are identical outside, and in)

If you do want the ej20tt id say search out some UK sites i think they got that engine there. this way youll be able to read about it unless you know japanese.
