check engine light

You need to clear the code for the light to go out.

Had the same thing happen a bit ago. My friend that cleared it for me says the car takes something like 80 cycles to clear the dang code for the gas cap....stupid sh*t....

I have an injen intake...and that had nothing to do with it..just the stupid gas cap!

yeah I was told as soon as you change the CAI the computer reads a different temp then stock and thinks there something wrong. Laters Mikal

get a perrin or k&n panel filter. it does the job just fine. generally, CAI's work much better on naturally aspirated motors. plus the CAI doesnt even give you any extra HP...in some cases it decreases HP.

you may also check at your local auto parts store to get your computer checked. my light came on a few times for misfire in cylinder 1...so it could be any number of things other than the gas cap, intake etc.
