2006 2.5i 4 Pot 2 Pot Swap
2006 2.5i 4 Pot 2 Pot Swap
Hello every one, I'm about to start 4 pot 2 pot brake swap on my 2006 2.5i. Before you say not again, please read through and if my questions seem to be answered else where please direct me to them. Any and all help in this matter is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your support.
So here are the parts I have gathered so far here are parts I have
Calipers Front & Back (New)
Kart Boy Adapters + Bolts Rear (Rally Sport Direct)
Stop Tech Street Pads (KNS Brakes)
DBA T2 Rotors (KNS Brakes)
LINES
I know the SS lines are missing, here is why, I wanted to go with stock 2.5i rubber lines, but I just found that 4 pot in the front has different fitting in the lines, my questions here are
1. Can I use my stock brake flex lines from 2.5i on 4 Pots and 2 pots without any adverse affects
2. If I buy SS lines for WRX will they fit my 2.5i hard brake lines?
Banjos
3. Are the banjo bolts same for 2.5i stock calipers and 4 pot 2 pots or, do I have to buy specific banjos for 4 pot 2 pot? If so will they fit my stock brake flex lines ?
Bolts
4. I happened to miss my bolts from my calipers, guy who sold me calipers missed them, but no complaints, can I use my old caliper bolts from 2.5i stockers to 4 pot 2 pot or do i need to buy new bolts?
I went to Subaru dealer today to buy bolts and banjos but im outta luck and they're outta stock.
Part Numbers
I am also looking for part numbers for caliper bolts front and rear and banjos for 2006 WRX assuming I had to buy them new. The dealer guy gave me these numbers
1. Front Caliper Bolt Part # 901130011 looks correct
2. Rear Caliper Bolt Part # 901120036 didn't look right in reverse check.
3. Banjo Bolt Part # 26536AA001 looks correct
I happen see many people done this I am hoping to get few knowledgeable answers. Any tips and tricks to do the job smoothly will also help. Thanks again for looking and for the support. Good luck.

I imagine the mounting bolts are the same. As for the banjo bolts, I wouldn't see why they wouldn't work. Compare them to the stock ones on your 2.5. If they look the same then you're good to go.
But if you're completely not sure just get new lines and bolts. Either source used oem from a recycle yard or buy all new. Brake lines should match up to the hard lines on your 2.5.

CJ I would recommend getting the SS lines they should work on your 2.5 because i believe your brakes oem brakes are the same ones that come on the WRX stock so for a little over $100 you can get the ss lines which will work much better. Just do it once and do it right!
