Need help with odd sounds!

Hey guys im new to the community and i just purchased my 04 sti. I was wondering if u guys might know what the odd knocking sound might be coming from the rear of my car. I noticed it sounds like a thumping knocking sound when i drive and hit bumps. This occurs at any speeds. Sounds kind of like the trunk is loose or the spoiler is tapping on the trunk or a loose spare tire but its none of those. I checked under the car and saw no leaks or anything from the struts. Also, when in 1st or reverse, u kind of feel the rear end dip down. Im not too sure what this might be. Any help will be highly apreciated. Thanks.

It is most likely the suspension clunk you are hearing. Like Esxtreme said, it is a very common problem for STi's to have suspension clunk.

Hope you can figures things out and welcome to the forums!

The STi clunk is common, but not at "all speeds." Shoot me a PM if you're ever in the Sunnyvale area and I can see how it compares to my clunky 04 struts.
