I have and FWD 95' 2 door impreza 5spd 1.8 . My first Subaru, But not even close to being my first flat 4. Im a air cooled VW guy and own a restored, 58' low light karmann ghia on air ride and a all OG 52' split window ragtop beetle.

I need awd and i have access to a 1992 Legacy, Its a 5 spd, 2.2 awd

There is also a couple RX awd turbos on the lot as well that i could probaby get parts from if anything would be needed, ie. shorter driveshaft, rear diff, etc.

What can i use from the legacy to complete this conversion?

I was hoping and partally thinking, Everything, but the longer driveshaft would work?? ie. gas tank, tranny, front and rear suspension, and rear diff? brakes?

Would i need to modify anything to make this work? Im sure there must be complications somewhere. Im just wondering what i need for parts, and what to expect. Odvoiusly another 2 door impreza thats awd would be a better resource for parts/ drive as is. but i have to work with whats availible.
