newbie questions about sti wheels, stereo

i am thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2008 sti. I'm wondering if i should pay extra for the BBS wheels. What exactly am i getting for the money? is it mostly cosmetic?
as for the stereo, i definitely want Serius satellite, but none of the cars when i look them up on the website have this as an option. Do they all have satellite??

welcome to the boards
the BBS are lighter forged wheels, so there is a performance gain as well but mostly cosmetic IMO

if anything, there will be aftermarket sirius units available for that factory deck down the line or you can get a seperate sirius unit installed using the aux port on your factory deck or you can get a new deck all together.

as for the rims, i didnt know there was a seperate option for bbs wheels o.O
i'd say save the money and get aftermarket bbs or whatever rims

As far as the radio goes, Sirius is an option on many new cars these days, but not all. IF you want Sirius equipped on a car that does not offer it factory installed, getting it installed via a reputable shop is not difficult or expensive, but as noted above, there is monthly fee.

And for the wheels, if you think you might be interested in getting aftermarket rims at any point later on, there is no need to pay extra now for the BBS rims. Also, it may be possible to source the factory '08 BBS items on Craigslist, ebay, etc. for less that they would cost at the dealership, but I have not done research on this so I am not sure. Good luck.
