Seems like a good way to get people to necrobump useless threads from early 2000. Do we need this function on the site? Is it new or have I just not noticed it?

I understand you point. I don't know that suggesting other discussions on the same topic is bad.
We can post guidelines concerning bumping old threads if necessary, let's see how it pans out. Thanks!

Other forums have "similar threads" suggested as you create a thread, to try and prevent a duplicate from being made. This just shows all the time.
