I post on a number of message boards (ClubRSX, S2ki, evoM, my350z, audizine, etc...god i need a new hobby), and on all but S2ki (where membership is required) there is the option of a signature to be added at the bottom of every post. i believe that just like Handles and Avatars these signatures give each post a face and something that allows us to recognise people who post a lot and it also makes things seem like technical and inanimate. i know the bandwith is a problem, and people abuse the ability by posting gigantic images in their sigs, but maybe a limited 300x300 image or a certain number of lines of text could be allowed at the bottom of all posts. just my .02!

avatars are cool... but some sites i've seen with crazy gifs/jpegs- makes the forum hard and unpleasant to read. its bad enough when we have some members that can't even spell correctly- i say we do a spell check before sigs w/pics

I'm voting no on sigs... they're irritating to look at when you're trying to read through posts. Too many images just makes it way too busy.

 

NO on the sigs please...actually I did notice one guy that had a moving picture sig...dunno how he did it but it is starting to annoy me just a little

 

he just embedded it in every post using the [ IMG ] tag.

 

I'd be all for sigs, just don't allow pictures in them. And also only allow like, umm....5 lines of text.
