i dont really like the new layout either. most of the people here on iclub spend most of their time in the regional forums so im not sure why it would be condensed down like that. if anything it should be made bigger since it is the biggest part of i-club. as for the thread about opinions about the changes, most of us probably didnt even see it since we were probably too busy in the regional forums. hahaha.

Well the regional sections are an easy change back. Lets try it for a couple weeks, and then we will put it to a vote on whether or not to change it back.
I would like to respond to two comments. One was that the regional section is the most active/important section of the site so it should be expanded. The second was that we should just condense the less active regional sections.
We want to increase activitely within the other areas of the site such as the tech sections. Having these sections be more active brings more life to the site and improve the information base within. Now we don't want to ruin anything that you guys like about the site, just get a nice balance and realize this is a complete site with much more to offer.
We would not want to condense less used regional sections as this would most likely ensure that they stay that way by making them seem less important. We want people from all regions to be imvolved.
So, in conclusion, lets give it a chance, and if in two weeks no one likes it, we will change back the regional.

That sounds good. I do suggest that when it comes time for the vote, that you post it in each regional forum as more people frequent those boards than the suggestions and feedback.

Exactly. This is a complete site, not a regional suppliment to other sites. Please participate in the site as a whole. We have a really great community here and lots of great people, but we need an increased national identity, and non regional participation. Announcements, polls, votes, etc go where they belong in the Announcements section. We will make it a highlighted site wide announcement however.

It only takes one click from the forum listings page, but for fastest access to any specific forum that you commonly visit just set up a .url shortcut if you are using Windows (any version) and place it on your desktop.
