Tried chat on i-Club as an experimental feature but after the initial novelty wore off, few people used it. Those that did were not usually the ones who did so to answer technical questions. Don't expect to see it come back any time soon.
You want answers in the tech forums? First, post your question in a forum appropriate for your question (i.e. reflash question in 'Engine Management', WRX tranny fluid in 'Impreza Transmission', turbo upgrade for the Impreza STi in 'STi EJ25 Turbo Powerplant' forum).
Word your questions thoughtfully, being sure to include the car model you drive, what mods have been done to it, etc. Many members never bothered to fill out the Car or Location fields in their Profiles when they registered on i-Club. You can see the difficulty when they ask what tuning shops are around outside of CA and they neglect to tell us what state they reside in.
Give your new thread a title that functions as a brief synopsis of the question you are asking, rather than the following example titles:
Question!
Need Help!!!
What do you think...???
Finally, use the forum Search feature or Advanced Search with keywords carefully chosen in the interest of valid results. Many questions are asked over and over again in the same forums, sometimes within days of each other. Sure, there may be occasions when no pertinent information to your search can be found but don't wait to use it only as a last resort.
