430hp/455lb-ft perf kit for sti?

is this for real? you can get those kind of numbers out of the few pieces in the kit, especially on 91 octane? those numbers are ridiculous. it doesnt include a new turbo but i read elsewhere on the same site(under "sti parts") that the stock turbo maxes out at 350-370 hp. im having a hard time believing this. anybody have this kit?

I wouldn't expect more than ~350 flywheel horsepower on the stock turbo and 91 octane. $3600 for a unichip, intake, headers, turboback, and resonator eliminator?

I'd like to see a really good driver, buy this kit and line up next to a heavier, 40 hp less (
) bone stock 2003 Cobra with a good driver, at a drag strip. That STi would get nothing less than raped, seeing as how the weaker and heavier snake will roll through the lights with a 12.3 at 112 mph.The kit will undoubtly get you consistant high 12's (12.7+), but it doesn't take 430hp to do that.

Their site shows a dyno from a dynapack so their claim is at the wheels.
But to metoo i've never seen a cobra hit 12.3@112 stock. On slicks maybe but not bone stock.
I hit 13.068 with my STi so just a turboback would easily give me 12.7+. I'm going to E-Town in 2 weeks to try and get 12's bone stock because the track i ran 13.0 at was 500' higher elevation not as good of a track and i didn't do anything to try and maximize the car i just pulled up and ran it. I'm definately going to ice the ic this time and i'm going to test out the playing with the diff to see if it helps. I ran it in auto before.

im pretty sure 4 driven wheels, more torque and power, and a lighter car would beat a cobra.
now, i just looked at my road and track and it appears that stock versions of the two run very similar quarter mile times(13.3 seconds), so a modded sti would more than likely beat a stock cobra.

I had figured that the 430 HP kit probably does make in the 400+HP range and going by the last post (an Sti with the kit running in the low 12's) that would be about right. The only thing
that was strange was the dyno sheet that was done with the 430
HP kit, it appears as though the engine was fully loaded then released quickly (all the hp and torque comes on between 4000-4500 rpm) which could give you a spike higher than what it really is.. The kit uses the original turbo and if you have seen other dyno runs even with another after maket exhaust sytem the power and torque starts coming up much earlier than that. Turbo XS will have a stage 2 kit available in the spring, (new Utec, exhaust, and probably a air filter) then a bigger turbo kit available later in the summer. I have always been partial to there stuff as they put alot of time into R&D before releasing their products and they make big reliable power so I am going to wait.
I have been building engines for years as well as being a dyno operator and tuner, so I know the tricks...lol

Sorry... I call shenanigans. It is absolutely impossible to make that much horsepower on the stock STi turbo with anything close to pump gas. Not unless you go with a smaller motor with a high rev limit.
