running a new brake setup now i have brake fade
i recently installed 4 pot brakes the the front & 2 pot brakes in the rear on my 2002 wagon with 70k miles. what i did was basically take the 206 wrx tr model brakes & install them on my car. i left my rotors alone but did upgrade to steel lines. a adapter kit was needed to mount thre rear brakes which i purchasew from kartboy.com.
upon me finishing the install i bled the brakes & got all the ar out. i noticed the brakes now slowly fade the floor but i give it 1 pump & my brakes are solid. i just finished doing a re bleed & no air. what i have experienced in this last bleed session is i now have a click noice about half way through me depressing the pedal to the floor.
could this be my master cylinder going? ive never heard of an upgraded master cylinder needed for brakes but could i use the sti one because it obviously has a large volume of fluid it needs to pump due to the bigger brakes it has. any help would be greatly appreciated.

still air in the system and also how are you bleeding them? there is a order that you have to follow while bleeding the brakes

umm... first things first... how did you loosen and tighten the stop and aftermarket brake lines? if you used the wrong type of wrench then it's possible that your brake system has a leak in it causing air to be sucked into your brake system causing the fade.
second... were your brakes working PROPERLY before the brake upgrade? were the brakes taken off a working car?
did you use NEW brake pads or did you use the ones that came with it?
How many times around did you go around the car to bleed the system? in what order did you bleed the brakes?
did you flush your brake system or did you just add fluid to top it off? what type?
your wheel bearings may need to be changed out already

^^^What they said...should totally flush out the system if you have enough fluid.
Also, the guys at TiC like to make the ABS cycle as well. Basically, while the car is fully on jacks with no wheels on...you accelerate and then slam on the brakes which makes the ABS go buckwild. Then they bleed all 4 corners. Or at least that's what I recall after they did my lines.
You can PM the TiC guys on Nabiscuits or google them.
The only other thing I can think of is that these brakes are much stronger than stock and the master cylinder bracket is bending under the pressure...but that doesn't make much sense in my mind.

i used proper line wrenches when doing this install. brakes were working well before i upgraded. i did not do a complete flush of the system just an add fluid. But what i did not was the suby specific method of bleeding. i did however check out scoobymods for the suby specific method & will try it out thanks for all the insight guys. if you got anything else keep it comming.

Anyone can lend him a pressure bleeder like a Motive one or other?
That could be an answer to his problems and doing each caliper in the right sequence..
