Gonna love it!
I have just installed the JDM HID headlights on my 02 Black Wagon. On the way home I stopped by at Chevron to pump. (Sorry, the picture is a bit out of focus but I will try to upload better ones some other time..)
These headlights are awsome! I bought these as a used pair, didnt have Ballasts, Bulbs or anything so I had to buy the following stuff locally and eBay..
Here is the list. I hope this would help other people ^_^
-Used Headlight Assy: $450 (Yahoo! Auction Japan, I went back to Japan this year and I brought them over to the States..) (I found out that it could have been a lot easier to get WITH Ballasts. )
-Hella Ballast and Phillips HID Bulbs D2S (4100K, I think.) : eBay $300
-HB3 (AKA 9005) bulbs for the high beam :AutoZone $5 each
-HB3 (9005) socket with wire :AutoZone $4 each
-1156 Amber Bulbs for Blinker :Kragen $4 set
-Electric Sealant (I had to make some holes on the cover of the HID bulbs in order to install the Hella Ballasts, so I had to seal the hole around the wire of the socket to the HID Bulbs. Will try to take some pictures, too)
Wiring was very confusing for me. I couldnt have done it without my friends help, (He is a mechanic ^_^) and of course, the information from i-Club forum, too!!
Overall, I would recommend to anyone who wants to make his/her Impreza COOL. But again, it couldve been a lot easier to if you could get this set WITH the stock Ballasts..

Some better pictures of JDM HIDs
Yesterday, I went out for a night drive off of Ortega Highway from I-5, and those HIDs were brighter than I expected. Even though I made some up coming drivers blinded, I like them a lot!! I think I will adjust the HID a bit lower just to be nice to other drivers though ^_^
