New shoes
I'm not tryna have gaping space in my wheel well I'm tryna fill it up and I'm having body work done before I get my wheels anyway. That's a good tire size for 18x8 wheels. Go to tyrestretch.com and look for 195-35-18 or 195 on any 18" wheel and that's the most extreme you could possibly go on stretching. That's to the point where there's almost no sidewall left, some people even go 185 it's insane.
Its not my style either, but if he wants the flush look, lets at least be helpful. I'm running 18x8.5 with 245/40/18 which are meaty and great for performance. He wants a show car. He wants to fill his wheel well with wheel, not tire.

+1, I have 18x8 ET40 and run 225/40 and in my opinion they are too narrow. As soon as these wear out I'm going to 235/40's. I am not sure why he would want to run a smaller profile in 215's
I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I'm getting a custom catback before summer though, and sways are also in the picture. I just don't have a huge cash flow so I can't go big on performance, because if I'm going performance I'm going big.

But your a 2.5i, not to knock you, but what is "Big" on going performance on a non aspirated Subaru? Why not save some cash and purchase a newer WRX Hatch and due a tune?? I'm not trying to be rude in anyway just trying to prevent you from waiting money in a sense...
It's all I have to work with. I tried finding a wrx and for my price range none were good. They all had too many miles. Like I said racing isn't my thing. I like car shows and all that flashy stuff. When I sell my subs and amp from my old car I'm doing a big audio upgrade. It's the fun of building what I wanna build. I'm not goin around trying to pick races with people, I drive to school and hang out on the weekends, that's about it. I'm not even thinking about engine performance at the moment. A catback and some coils are my first 2 steps. I'll work with what I can.

I belong to a club that consist if high end European cars and starting to do track events thus why my opinion differs. I also do take my Subie to shows though as well so I do like the big sound system and to be a little flashy as well but track capable.

Same man! Cruising is what I love! Cops in my area don't care about physical mods or loud exhaust, but do 47 in a 45 anywhere in southeastern Pennsylvania and you got lights in your rear view mirror
