My New -- 240SX!
I've been looking to do a split purchase with my friend for awhile. Originally we were planning on buying a prebuilt mid 80's rally Golf/Rabbit and run amateur rally. However, the closer we got to summer, that plan did not look so realistic financially lol.
SO the next best thing, do some drifting instead! its a lot cheaper, street legal, and we can do it a lot more often. Eventually our plan is to get into rally, but we would like to have at least a 10k cushion for that. We dropped our budget for this project to 4k, and its looking like we will definitely be under that
The car is a 1992 240sx SE. 2.4 DOHC I4, Stance Coilovers, Z32 4/2 piston brakes, Megan catback, 5 lug conversion, 350z wheels, Shimmed LSD, LW Flywheel and a handful over other little things. It needs a clutch, egr valve, some vaccum hoses and bushings all around.
We bought it for 2500 bucks from the guy/shop who built this car:
2000 Lexus GS300 - Modified Magazine

so we are pretty confident it was in good hands lol
anyway, some pics!

Lol first time ever trying drifting -

haha thanks guys
Going to pick up some wheels for this thing today, some mustang cobra R wheels. Same bolt pattern 5x114.3, 17x9 +24 . pretty much works out perfectly. I was looking for 17x9's +20, these will work just fine for $275
fitment will be something like this

got the wheels. 17x9 +24 with 225/45/17 on all 4. grand total cost me 525 with rims/almost new tires/mounting and balancing
also put a new clutch in there. The other one was slipping real bad

the clutch itself wasnt worn out bad, the springs were loose so thats not good, but the pressure plate was totally shot

LOL I was wondering what happened to Dan's 240! Now he's playing around with a Talon Tsi AWD. And that Lexus GS with the LS1 swap is a beast too. Good luck with the drifting!
