hey congrats on the m3! Quick question though one my friends has an 04 m3 and I was telling him I was thinking of buying one but he told me not to buy an 01 or an 02 because those supposidly have hella problems. So well you have been in the e46 game for awhile now. Can you give me ur opinions. I know there r some slight difference like the no led taillight for 01-02 but man I find so much good deals on those but just scared of buying a car with hella problems. Just wanted to get a 2nd opinion hahah

not true about 01-02 m3 having hella problems but they do have engine (rod bearing) recall on them though. so when you buy an 01-03 m3 make sure the rod bearing recall has been taken care of. also, as long you keep up with the maintenance in a timely matter then you'll be fine
