Twice I have had buyers fail to follow through when it came time to divvy up, unfortunate, but sometimes it happens. The UTEC is a revision 4 board; I left a message with TurboXS, however, we played phone tag a few times before it fell off my busy radar -Im in the process of moving; Sry! I should have followed through. To be honest, I dont recall rev4 being compatible with the MY02, but as of yet, I simply dont know.

So what you are really telling me is that it is not going to work on my 2002 USDM Impreza WRX ?
needless to say...I am a little worried...

Dudes, rev 01 to 04 are compatible with MY02.
It's the rev 05 that is for MY03 and up. The reason being
2 sensor cable polarities were switch by SUBARU for reasons that only god knows why. The rev 01 to 04 UTEC will work on MY03 and function just as well as rev05 with the exception of the CEL coming and staying on. How do I know? well it happened to me. to make this short, my car is MY03 and my dealer ordered for a MY02 therefore they shipped a rev 04. After a few phone calls to TXS, that's when they told me about rev05. I actually got one of the first batches of rev 05. I have no problem with it so far running stage3 map from TXS. Take a peep:

Thanks for the info, that helps put me at ease a lil.
However, I am still waiting on Marc to ship it out to me. I understand he is in the middle of moving, but I am just anxious and want what I have paid for....
BTW, what did TXS say about the 2nd UTEC flooding your engine really badly? I have never heard of this type of problem, Is it a one-off, or is it a larger problem that just has not surefaced?

Oh yeah, I knda wanted to make the story short but here's the scoop.
To recap, I was sent the rev4, for MY02, utec the first time which I didn't know because even though the CEL came and stayed on, the car functioned properly. That's when I called TXS and found out that for MY03 I need the rev5.
So they sent my dealear the rev5, I installed it but the car would run rough after being started, chokes, then floods. It was so bad that fuel was seeping out of the exhaust flanges and also spewing out of the muffler. I called TXS again, explained to them what happened but at the time all they can tell me is that the utec was probably just DOA when it got to me. Maybe it died during shipment. Maybe just a bad utec. You could say it's one of a kind. Only TXS will know.
Anyway they sent me another, installed it, no problem arised.
SO it was a happy ending after all.
TurboXS were very responsive during the ordeal. They're tech support was great and really helpful. I have mostly TXS part and very happy with them.
