RIPPED OFF !!! Please help me!!!

Hey guys...i got ripped off like 4.5 weeks ago on ebay for a JIC suspension system . I paid for it through paypal and he never sent it. I have ALL the guys contact info. and the address where he lives in Glenview, IL ....paypal can't do anything, my credit card company said to call paypal ....the police department in Glenview says to call my local police so i guess thats my next step. I have all the proof that i paid for the item and everything so he would need to show proof that he shipped it which he can't . It was $1266.00 and I WILL get my money back somehow. Any ideas guys or any help would be great. His contact info. is

Dave

Edit: removed phone number and street address. Didn't want to be illegal like the piece of **** that stole from me.

If you used PayPal but used the credit card you can dispute the charge with your Credit Company. Don't let them tell you otherwire! I had to do the same thing before, and that was only about $300, so if I were you and that is what happend fight it and tell your credit card company what happend and you received no goods for the money...etc.

As long as you have good credit and you've been well with the credit card company that you have now, I don't see why that would be a problem... given if you are oweing them from past months...years of debt that might be aother situation... that's none of my business but I do hope it goes well for you!

FIGHT IT! Why jerks have to lie, cheat and do other stuff to people that are honest I will NEVER understand!

Hope all goes will :-)

I think that even though it was a debit card, you should still be eligible for the same protections as a credit card since it is all through the same company and VISA. You should be able to have the money charged back, regardless of whether it was coming out of your account.

I would also file a "complaint" with the FBIs internet fraud complaint center. They look at all received complaints and will assign you a case number or something and refer your complaint to the appropriate local police or whatever authorities to look into the matter. I am not sure how long it takes, but I have heard that it works.

thats good to hear. With paypal if you complain to paypal most people will get their act together. I had a guy try to stiff me for parts and I reported him. paypal froze his account and he sent me my money back through paypal literally hours after I reported him. Should've done that right away than exchange frustrating e-mails with him for a week.
