As far as Cobb stage 2 reflash, it's great. It offers all the power that is advertised with no cels. So does Ecutek. The difference is the range of support. There's no way I'm driving 25 hours to SLC,UT for a reflash for a vf30/sti injectors/fuel pump. This is standard upgrade stuff for the wrx. Cobb has gone from saying were gonna offer more maps to "We're not sure if it's economically feasible to add more maps". Add to this, there's NO tentative release for access port. Now this sounds like I'm totally bashing Cobb. No, what they offer is great. I'm just not willing to wait indefinitely (or drive that far) for stuff Ecutek does offer which is equally as good. Bottom line, if you want great HP from you turbo back exhaust and plan for nothing else rigt now, Cobb stage 2 is great!

Not to hijack your thread, but Cobb will only reflash ECU's for $20 if you are the original owner. I found out the hard way after buying a Cobb stage 2 ECU from an I-Clubber. This is BS if you ask me. Here is the quote from Cobb:

If you need the ECU reflashed, then it will be full price and each additional reflash afterwards will be the $20.00.

So basically there is no value what so ever in a used Cobb Stage 2 reflashed ECU (other than the cost of the stock ECU), this pisses me off.....

I'll call Cobb Monday so I can hear it from them. That sounds like complete BS. I paid for the technology to be flashed into my ecu. That's one ecu that cannot be copied or used in 2 cars at the same time. I can sell it to whom I chose since that ecu, and the technology on it is being handed off in its entirety. For Cobb to say they'd charge full price for a reflash of THAT ecu is insane. If that's the case, perhaps the Better Business Bureau should be notified. And either way it'll get flashed for 20 bux. If I have to, I'll reflash it to my liking under my name and pass it off to the new owner. I won't be subject to that line of crap. Please.........................

 

I agree 100% both from your point of view (as a seller) and mine (as a buyer). Basically they need to figure out a way to transfer ownership. My ECU has Cobb stickers on it, can they not track them by serial number also??
