Let's think about this... 57 paypal transactions... several threads in I-club... ebay auctions... Id say your more than computer savy enough to set up your daugters emails seperate from yours and if you read the manual maybe you would have even used those parental prefferencs that your Verizon email service offers so freely.
Keep the BS outa here... just the facts please.

keep it real man... What's wrong with you? .
I don't think you've said anything wrong.. you're upset you didn't get a set of struts for $475... That's it.
I see you're upset but man, you're coming across like a madman.
I'm sorry we couldn't complete the deal but the thread is degrading into a single sided pointess mud slinging match.
As mentioned before best of luck with your search for a suspension!
Cheers, Steve

Ash-
you've now gone totally out of line here.
When you're selling something that has as big as a demand as what Steve is selling - you respond as one is quickly capable of.
There's a certain normal time frame for responses here. And yes, I'll say it - you snooze, you lose. I've been on the broken end of a deal simply because i did not respond in kind quickly enough, and the seller decided to sell to someone else.
Fine, done. I didn't respond quick enough.
Acting as irrationally and madly as your responses come off to be - I must say that I firmly believe that Steve's better off to *NOT* have sold to you...
Incidentally, I've bought many things from him with quick service with equally quick response times. When i've missed out - I don't cry about it.

Victor, Thanks for your input. I'm sorry for getting so upset over this. But my point is solid. What is a reasonable time to wait for a payment request to be funded?
How come he left for work at 6:15 (an hour before he got my email) and contacted a didfferent buyer and sold the shocks before he got my email?
Let's suppose he checked his mail to see if I responded before leaving for work... I emailed him an hour later. That would probly put me at the top of the list when he gets home to check his email. Who in the meantime managed to contact him through some other form and purchase the shocks from him before he recieved my email? If he contacted them, why didn't he contact me??? Why didn't he post anything in the thread at least besides **sold**
Which I thought was ME!
It doesn't add up. He simply promissed them to me, Sent out for payment from me, got an email from someone local, and screwed me over for the quick cash. I lost out cause I was too far away, not cause he didn't get my message in time... he saved the shipping and whatever instead of keeping his promise. I just think that is imoral and unethical.

Ash,
I just think that whoever can get the cash to the buyer sooner should have the item.
I can understand StevieD's position as a seller who wants to quick confirmation on sale. I'd do the samething if I were him.
I would even sell my items cheaper to local to get a good and firm assurance that I have sold my items
Next time when making payment via Paypal.
Try to use Credit Card Funding or Bank Account funding backed w/ Credit Card fund.
If you use credit card, you get points or miles or other protection from buying on the internet. (got fraud 2 times and I won the 2 cases)
Just make sure you don't boost the Credit Card to the limit

Ash,
Are you new to buying stuff on the internet? Seriously. I've never heard so much sand come from someone who lost out on a transaction before. Maybe once you have more experience dealing with used car parts, etc on the internet you'll realize that what happened here is PAR FOR THE COURSE. It's the price you pay for getting awesome deals on stuff.
No..I am not StevieD under a different (similar) user name. Yes I know StevieD personally. He is great to do business with. And, like most people trying to unload stuff over the internet, he deals with many, many buyers who "promise" to send money ASAP and never do. After a while you learn that the early bird gets the worm. Yes...you were pretty quick to react in this transaction, but not quick enough, obviously. Now stop crying over spilled milk and go find yourself another set of STi V7 Struts with springs.
Oh...wait...I happen to have a full set for sale. Email me at sddesigns@yahoo.com if you're interested.
Peace,
Steve D

Well, If you all have had such geat experience with steve he can't be that bad of a guy.
I have several thousand dollars woth of used parts on my car all bought here and places like it. I've been too late on alot of sales... But I've never had an agreement, arranged a payment method, been sent confirmation, and not completed the sale. I took the money request as confirmation and was processing the transfer as fast as it could go on a sunday. I still thinks it's wrong he didn't call me. A small step that would have gone a long way in this situation. And it created one dissiapointed pissed off Ash. I will think alot harder now about making purchases out of my area.
I didn't think that was in the rule book. Steve, I told you if the community thought I was wrong I would go along, and they think I'm wrong . So in the spirit of the car club... I'm sorry.
