Today:
egg beaters with vegetables for breakfast
12 grain bread for toast with some jam (bad I know)
OJ
Lunch:
Turkey sandwich, no mayo, extra veggies, sunchips (fiber!), diet soda
Dinner:
marinated chicken breast, rice or cous cous, not sure yet, diet soda
Then water all day. Tomorrow, generally the same thing but add in 25+ miles on the bike and you see how I'm livin. It's working though

weird. But it works. I still get my soda fix with minimal negatives. Once you get used to eating all the good stuff and find ways to eat it cheaply, it's easy, it's usually the same if not less money than the stuff that's bad for you, you start feeling better, sleeping better, looking better, ****ing better, etc. And when I'm on my bike and I start seeing REAL performance improvements in my average speeds or top speeds, or when I realize my pants are falling off and for the first time I'm using the first belt loop on this belt that I got when I was 20, it makes me more motivated. It rocks. And since I'm not technically a "strict" dieter, I still eat all the stuff I want to, just less of it. I still binge drink on the weekends if I want, I just stopped drinking during the week, if I go to a restaurant I'll get the pasta or a burger or whatever. Once or twice a week, instead of chicken I'll get a lean NY steak or if I want I get a nice fatty ribeye. It's a lot easier than it sounds.

I really like chicken and the marinated fresh chicken breasts that I buy daily from Bel-Air (which usually cost me like $2) are kick *** fresh off the grill (yeah yeah my grill). With rice and a drink, dinners are running me like $5. For my sandwiches, I LOVE turkey, so I just sub mustard for the mayo, which is way better for you, eat some grubbin chips (sunchips own). Breakfast - the egg beaters are a little weird, and they're more expensive than shelled eggs, however I save time in the mornings because I don't have to break the eggs, whisk, wash hands to get off all the egg gunk, etc. And it cuts 40 calories and like 5g of fat PER egg

That is awesome about the whole "pants being too big" thing. I can relate. I've lost 50+ lbs. in the past 6 months or so. I've just cut back on portions and maintained my excercise level. I don't drink sodas at all, so there's that and I drink a TON of water. That and I don't really eat junk food (candy, chips, etc.).
I just can't do the whole diet thing. Everything in moderation I guess.
