The cops in Roseville are real ******. A couple bike cops used to sit over by BofA there on Douglas/Eureka on a side street and pull out to bust speeders, one after the other all day long. I got stopped by a PD in Roseville about 6 years ago now and he pulls me out of my car and gives me the whole gamut of field sobriety tests because he said my pupils looked dialated (he pulled me over on my way to work at 9pm and I was late as a result). He takes my pulse and says it's racing, then asks me why I think that might be. I tell him about how it is scary to be given field sobriety tests and pretty much accused of using methamphetamines when you've never even smoked a cigarette. I guess he believed me :| Nice fat ticket he gave me too (I was speeding - 50 in a 35) but he didn't need to pull me out of my truck.

Yea I checked out those houses. Seemed kind of small and started at 450K Geez I even saw a house in that area start at 750K. It was not even worth 350 and they were asking 750K. I need to schedule an open house to come take a look at that corner lot in your hood. I also looked at some new houses they are building in South Sac area. The houses were bigger and started at 320k. I have to accept that I'm going to be paying a fat mortgage.

Sad..

I blame Tuesday!!

EDIT: I loved that one house (in your area) that you were talking to me about! HAWT!

I hate it on Douglas because it drops from a 45 to a 35 really quick. Cops out here love pulling people over. Be careful though, I have seen a dirt bike cop, no joke. I saw this guy riding a black dirt bike, he had a black jacket and a white helmut. The helmut looked like the a bike cops helmut, then the guy got behind this Mercedes that was going way fast and all the sudden there were these blue lights flashing from this skinny bike. I had never seen it before that night. So watch out for the smaller motorcycles....

Damn I know. They have police stings to crack down on speeding and not giving the right of way to pedestrians. I always see that street on the news

damn, man. $460k is a grip of money. Have you considered checking out townhomes? I think some new ones might be going up in the Gold River area in the next year or so for like $250k or something.

Might do that. I remember when you could get a pimp townhouse for 150K and that was a nice townhouse in a good hood.

I'll keep looking. I don't think I'll be getting a new house. I'm thinking maybe looking into some that is less then 10 years old.

A guy I work with was just telling me he bought a house in Natomas (North of the meet spot) for $400k - not sure on the sq footage but it is 4 bed with a 3 car garage.

Well that's nice.

What I have noticed in some of the newer homes is that the other bedrooms are small.
You get a small backyard too

Except the ones I saw in South Sac with a sand volleyball court and your own private entrance to a private lake.

The house my friend bought is about 4 years old.

I agree with you on the small rooms thing. I thought our bedrooms were small but I'm finding out that they're about average. I think they're about the same size as houses I lived in as a kid.

It's interesting with the newer houses though, it's like the builders are trying to cram as many bedrooms in to a place as they can regardless of square footage. Some of the places across the street are 1600 sq ft (about 60 more than my house) and they have 4 bedrooms instead of the three ours has. I toured those homes and barely fit in the damn rooms.
