Its stuck in second gear. The shifter was hella loose so I called subaru. They told me to bring it by but when i went out the car wouldnt go into reverse. I tried to put it into first and it stalled. It was stuck in second gear. The shifter would move around all over the place. I had it towed over there and should be getting it back tomorrow.

 

Yes do explain.... oh and sorry to hear.

 

We couldnt push it. It was in gear. I started it up and pulled it out so the tow truck could get it up.

 

That sounds like what happened to my friend Mike's Evo in Reno. His problem was teh short shifter disconnected and it was stuck in 3rd gear.

 

Hehehe. Let the science begin... oh but that'll probably be a bad way to travel.

 

That sucks dude, I hope it's a simple fix.

Yeah i took the little boot off and checked it out. the little bar that connects to the shifter was loose. It wasnt connected to anything. It would just lift right up.

 

Every so often you must lift the skirt and check the merchandise! A rule to live by!!
