Threading is the same for both, just seeing if you need the 6mt cutout. Will see what I can do next time I get to the lathe. The one on the right isn't a sphere, btw.

Nope, will probably be a few weeks before I can get some free time to run to my dad's shop.

If it is not to much trouble I would love to rock a wood ****! I have a chunk of ipe laying around and you can keep the extra! I have about 1.5' at aprox 2.5" square.

I should be out in Sac for a rally-x May 25&26 at Prairie City.

So it's been a while since I started this thread, so I thought I would show everyone my DIY wood **** finished product. Lathe werks actually custom made me an insert for the **** because I was having trouble finding the right size and thread pitch. The **** is actually a "doll head" from michaels which cost me a whole $2. All in all the job cost $30. The insert being custom and brass was the most expensive part at $25 a pop. I have an extra if someone is interested in taking on the wood **** DIY build.... ****

Sorry I forgot to get back to you about this, plumb forgot. I took a look for my Ipe and I guess it has been lost in a couple moves. If I find a nice chunk of something I will shoot you a PM when I head out towards Sac.

Let me know if you want a brass insert. The shift boot even locks into it
