Where to get motor rebuilt???
Hey guys I'm new to this forum And wanted to ask anyone where would be the best place to get my motor rebuilt on my 04 sti? The reason why is unfortunately my nightmare came true and now my subie has rod knock, so please I'd apriciate it if anyone could point me in the right derection, I live near Sacramento.

I don't think there really is a going rate. It depends on what you need and/or how trashed your current engine is. I'll tell you this though: having built many EJ's and been wrenching on and tuning hundreds of these cars for the past 10 years, if you want it done right, and use quality parts, and not skimp on anything, a properly "built" EJ full long block is not gonna cost less than 5 grand. And then you add in the profit the shop needs to make after paying employee and covering overhead, and suddenly you're over 6 grand easy.
