Where to buy an accessport in Sac area?
I am looking to buy and possibly pick up, (not have shipped) a cobb accessport for my 05 STi. Does anyone know where i could get one in the NORCAL/SAC area?

theyre the same price everywhere you go, id say just choose your favorite online retailer and order from there...could always buy one from Gruppe-S and have it shipped maybe even FLi theyre a cobb vendor as well.

people have been selling used ones in the classified forum lately, unless they treated it like crap, I wouldn't think anything would be wrong with a used one...still, new is better

i wouldnt mind buying one used to be honest as long as it was unmarried you'd be fine. i wonder though...if someone sold you an AP and they didnt unmarry it, could you send it to cobb or a cobb authorized reseller and have them "format" it or something so it could be used on your car?

AP's are slaved to your car's ECU, so that you can't ***** it around. When you unmarry it, you're essentially removing the Cobb map, and, more importantly, the AP flash/license from your ECU so you can reapply it.
If you want the AP local, as others have said, hit up Paul at DBTuned, he'll take care of you, and he's in Roseville as well.
