So heres what happen when you show up to court late. 2 months ago or so, I had a ticket for :Exhibition of Speed:. I went to court and wanted to trial. So, the judge issued me a date (9-6-07 @ 2pm) to go to court.

Fast forward.


Today, I was in my History class, boring as hell learning things I knew in highschool but needed the unit for my transfer. I get done with class at 2:50 and walked to my car ready to go home and go to work. I then realize that my court date is somewhere near this week. So I popped open my glove dept. and ****** the court papers. All thats going on my mind is, "WTF OMFG!! *not showing in court on the specific date and time will result in a warrant for your arrest*.. blah blah..."

I drive home to grab some necessary paper work and call my boss saying that I can't come in.

3:25pm - Parked my car in the court house parking lot. Run straight to the door, went through the security (they checked me of course) and into the court room. DA comes up to me and tells me to leave the room quietly and he will meet me in room 112. I get to room 112... and this guy yells at me, "ARE YOU ****ING CRAZY!!! Your an hour and 30 mins LATE! Do you know thats a bad thing? Well it is! If you do that again, they can put this against you and fine the poop out of your ***!"

Me sitting there blank-faced not knowing what to say..

"I'l be back in a min, I gota talk to some people.
You drive a Subaru? What kind?"

"I drive a family sedan"
...
.
"Is it a WRX?"

"Yes"

"DONT LIE to me when I ask what kind of car you drive! You drive a race car don't you!.. anyways I decided to drop your fine from 2 point misdemeanor to a 1 point infraction speeding ticket, NO traffic school"

In my head I'm like WOW!!

i lucked out with some cops a couple of times, but never in court.....every time i have to go to court its 100% guarrantee that im phucked.....been ticket-less for 3 years now so im trying my hardest to keep it that way.....my 7 points are almost off my insurance record, cant wait till december when every single one of them is gone adn i can say hello to under 1600 for 6 months for liability

it's called responsibility... don't drive like a douche and you won't have to go to court again. and if you do go to court, do what you're SUPPOSED to do and be ON TIME.

funny nothing happened to me. i was like a 11months late for court (dont ask...) and i got a warning. walked into court, and was out in 20min. all i had to do was pay a couple bucks and driving school which i did online. lucky me i guess

 

no hatred train... just funny when people act like a fool and post about the consequences.

 

you think people are acting a fool......go to clubrsx.com and read about some of the **** they do there.....suddenly these kind of threads will seem genius...

 

although you are right, there is no reason for driving crazy. and if you did, suffer the consquences............however the court system is stupid as hell and has hundreds of loopholes and exceptions where people get away with stuff

 

back in the day when i rocked a civic ( go ahead, laugh at me) me and this girl got a ticket. i was the driver, she was the passenger. we both got cited for the same thing: no seatbelts. we both go to court on the same day and our cases are back to back. she gets let off the hook since she's a pretty girl and has no bad record, i get stuck with a 100 dollar ticket.

lolz, I do know theres consequences to my actions. It's also good to have some extra chances and be warned for good.
