when is smog required?

when is smog required?

I have an '03 wrx bought in '03 and I was wondering when smog will be needed to be done?

yeah, Aaron quoted me a price, but i was thinking that when smog time comes around, i'll have to swap it out again and pay the price. I just don't wanna be spending that much money on swapping the damn uppipe over and over again.

Realistically, if you still have all the other stock cats, you'll probably be fine with an uppipe. It's not that visible

Yeah, Aaron's right, you gotta have a tech inspector that knows subys to know what he's talkin bout in order to notice the uppipe. I've "heard" that you can pass the sniffer with a catted downpipe, but who knows if that's true.

It's time consuming, but not too hard. I did my uppipe in about 3 hours, and that was with a jack and stands, running around by myself grabbing tools and wha tnot. I'll help you if you need it.

Btw... I take beer as payment.
