Whats the most psi can i push?

Hey guys,
I was just curious what is the most psi can i push on a stock engine untill it snaps one of my rods or burns my rings. I was curious if anyone got new pistons and rods and all that good stuff to run higher boost. IF so how much did it cost?

WRX or STi?

I think with the necessary bolt ons (turbo, intercooler, fuel management, reflash), you can hit 24-25psi?

certainly not sustained at that levels. I wouldn't go over 20psi on a daily driven WRX.

so why is it that i hear people putting boltons and get all crazy with psi and stuff....im pretty sure that every time someone creates a beats out of their car they just dont go out and buy a new block. I am under the impression that the block is not as reinforced as it should be but im pretty sure people can run a certain amount of boost untill something breaks.....

you can run about 19~20psi pretty safely on a well tuned wrx with an upgraded turbo and all the other support goodies.

wtf is a "squirel"? with a simple upgrade like a vf34 with injectors and a pump you can easily run 17psi. you'll need a full exhaust as well or it's pointless to upgrade the turbo.

with enough money, you can do anything. The WRC cars run 3-4 bar boost (50-60psi). Yes, they use the same block, but it is completely overhauled and only meant to last max 1000 miles between rebuilds.

yea you could run as much boost as you can. Be prepared for something to blow though.
Most of these peeps that run mad boost are on sti blocks.

I mean if you're a baller and afford to parts or know Turreto, then run 22+ of boost.

a squirel is a turbo....i know i can easely run 17 but what would be the safest psi i would run with the vf34, reinfoced pistons, rods, injectors, full catless exhaust, uppipe, and have it tuned....?
