whats going on here?
ok, i just installed my helix up pipe (catless), downpipe (catless) and my borla hush 2.5 inch exhaust. the sound is great i can really hear the turbo spool, but then i raced my friend with a stock wrx from a roll. 3rd gear at 40 mph, i only beat him by one car length and before we did it we said we were going to shift at the same rpms. We are both pretty much the same skill at driving and our cars are both stick. why haven't i gotten a bigger power gain? i talked to the head tech at my work he said all i needed was a tune, shouldn't i have gotten more power without the tune anyways?

It's about a 40-45 hp jump (exhaust + tune).

You definitely need a tune. Check out S-squared (916-442-6409) for that. I just got an up-pipe installed with a Cobb AccessPORT custom tune last week and it's awesome. You should kick *** then.

We'll see how the money thing goes (my next goal is suspension and save up for clutch/possibly flywheel for the RS) - I'm hoping for a full TBE by March

I think I'm going to buy all new parts for the RS as I can get them cheap enough. Going to get some Eibach springs and some KYB AGX I think.
