Yeah for friday ! I thwarted an attemped burglary this morning. It seems a trio of young hooligans thought my neighbor and I had something worth stealing in our vehicles. Anyways, I wake up at 4:00 this morning to Mrs. VIBEELEVEN telling me somebody 's trying to break into my car. I stumble out of bed, grab some clothes and head to the window to see some punk standing next to my car. I turn on the light run downstairs to try to get a better look, but by the time I get outside him and his cronies had vanished. The rest of my night goes like this:

VIBEELEVEN: "Hi I'd like to report an attempted automotive burglary"
NPD: "How long ago did this happen sir?"
VIBEELEVEN: "About 10 minutes ago."
NPD: "Why did you wait 10 minutes to call?"
VIBEELEVEN: "Well because I tried to chase them to get a better description, and then got stuck on your automated system for a few minutes."
NPD: "Ok, I'll send an officer to do a drive through."
VIBEELEVEN:"Thanks."

An hour and a half later
VIBEELEVEN: "Hi I called a while ago about having an officer come by to check things out"
NPD: "Oh, he hasn't showed up yet?"
VIBEELEVEN: "Um, no."
NPD: "Ok, he'll be right there."
VIBEELEVEN: "Thanks."

20 Minutes later...
VIBEELEVEN: "Hi thanks for coming"
Officer ? : "I don't see anyone"
VIBEELEVEN:"They left almost two hours ago"
Officer ? :"Wich way did they go?"
VIBEELEVEN:"That way."
...
Officer ? :"I think they left."

What would you have done?

Yeah it's hard to think rationally 10 seconds after you wake up, I sat up all night after that thinking about different things I could have done.

 

same thing happend to me about two weeks ago. a neighbors truck had his window smashed and they ganked hgis 7 inch lcd screen. he was told by the police to come in a file a clame.

when i got up i didn't see or hear anyting then went to door and tires were screaching away.

if you report shots were fired you get better results.

Nice to know our tax dollars seem to be going toward reaction time. I can be at Golden Gate Park and parked within 110minutes! And if you decided to take matters into your own hands you'd be rolling out in cuffs. Gotta love America!

 

I probably shoulda had my wife call since her dad and stepmom happen to be pretty high up in the local law enforcement. It's times like this when I kinda wish I still had a few male roommates. I can hold my own against a few 120 lb. fifteen year olds, but these days you just don't know whose packin' what.

 

Just tell them the bad guys shot a cop. Backup will come shortly.

sneak downstairs, go around back and come out the side gate in the darkness and **** the 12 guage after belting out "Can I help you boys?"

i recently had 1 of my cars stolen, so i know the feeling alot better than you, but if i had a chance or ever knew sum1 was jacking my ride i woulda ran out there and laid sum smack down on those SOBS

 

In CA if someone is on ur property, you can shoot them, not kill them but disable them
