Stop complaining. You should have thought ahead and built your entire house around a theater room that has no windows.

And dials! They had HUGE dials! It's the girth that counts.

What is your viewing distance? I have a 42" Hitachi enhanced def widescreen plasma and with a viewing distance of 11', it's big enough. Awesome picture, although it's more than 2k.

Don't give up on the projections. Especially the new LCD and DLP screens. They hacve much wider viewing angle and are brighter than the older models.

I have a Sony 57" xbr that is great, even in the daylight. Of course, plasma at my elevation does not work well. If I were to get a new one, I would get that 70" LCD sony mentioned on the first page. It is probably the best TV out there for the price (Much more than $2000).

FYI if you intend to game on the screen - go for an LCD or DLP. All other screens (especially plasma) can and will eventually burn.

^^ I agree. I'm really happy with my Hitachi, and it's rear projection. I think the viewable range is 20 - 160 degrees or something. It's a sweet TV, has awesome picture and standard sound. Only was about $1900 if I remember right..I think less.

You really can't appreciate 70" until you see it in person.

I think this is what they have in the room at the Bully's we go to here in Reno on Thursday Night Weekly Meets.

It's really a pretty nice unit.
