I'm off work. Until I get out of class at 6:45, then I'm working again. Hopefully I'll only have to work for an hour or so because I'm going to try and be in the office at 5:30am tomorrow . I was supposed to be off but it looks like I'll get my day off next Friday, which is just fine with me

Where do you work at where you have those crazy hours?

 

I work in IT and this really important project I'm on is severely borked due to software vendors not playing together. Unfortunately this has been ongoing for a couple months due to other things in the mix that delayed getting stuff done.

Now, the Business Partner is pissed and wants this done yesterday. Since I'm a relatively new admin, and I've never even done the basics with the software we're using (the software is installed on the O/S - the O/S I am familiar with) I have to work with the expert admin on this stuff. He comes in at 7:30am....CST, which means 5:30 for me :|

I've been working here for 5 years and working ****ed up hours is par for the course. Recently though they've been getting a lot better about taking care of us when we have to work weird *** hours like this. So since I was supposed to be off work today, they gave me next Friday off, and because I told them my car was in "the shop" they offered to hook me up on a rental car (though I don't need it). So they're cool. I'm not going to get the rental because I plan to get my car done today.

If you stay on the boards for a while, you'll see me working all kinds of wacko hours :|

 

The car isn't supposed to be done till at least noon today.
