Well, the struts are from a v8 STi that is still under warranty, but the struts aren't on the car anymore...

Some BMW guys were able to disengage the clutch delay valve with some custom 'thingie'

Aparently, the mechanism on your and my car are similar to the older BMW ones and should potentially be able to be bypassed easily. Hopefully someone will step up and make a thingie for our CDV.

That would rock so hard if the show Cops had some in car footage of a suby getting rolled with flames shootin' out the pipe. Then some more fire when it pulls away after the officer is done.

Some people have already bypassed it. The fix is over on IWS. It's a one way mod though. But I think I will do it. It's pissed me off enough times. It fine driving around town but when you try to do some quick accurate modulation it ends up way behind what you wanted it to do and that usually results in stinky smells.

I only really notice the CDV when I slip the clutch at high RPM. It makes for some unpredictable launches, IMO. Its pretty annoying at times, but like you said, fine around town.

So my coworker, the one who pooped himself in my office, just got told to turn his radio down by one of the bitter sales chicks, his reply " I was told I can listen at a resonable level between 8 and 10" , then he turned it up, I'm laughing so hard right now.
