Damn, **** that.

On another note, did you return to work following your trip? Last week one of my coworkers took a trip to Monterey and did a bunch of walking. She was there for the weekend. On Monday she worked from home because her legs were sore. I was just like

Dude, are you working on anything? I'm looking up how much I paid for my exhaust and may be ready to drop the wagon off sooner than later.

Yeah, we did the hike last Thursday so I had Friday, Saturday, Sunday to recover. I was still hurting Monday, but I still came in.

It was the #1 scariest thing I have ever done in my life, the #1 hardest 1-day hike I have ever done, and probably the #1 stupidest thing/decision I have made in my life. The view was totally worth it, but I don't think I'll ever do it again.

Probably not the smartest decision to go to the top when I have a wife that doesn't work, a three year old, and one on the way, especially when Half Dome has a documented hunger for the Japanese people.

I think we picked a good time to go, though, because there were hardly any other people when we got to the top, so the cables weren't crowded. I don't think I would have done it if it was crowded.

Someone else drove. I just sat there. I did the hike only because of peer pressure. Actually, hiking/camping/backpacking is one of the few things that I am not lazy about.
