It would appear as though this proprietary version doesn't allow that, and if that's true, that means I have to unmount the filesystem, which means we have to bring down the entire application.

Luckily it's a test box so we won't take an outage but it still sucks *****.
And now I get to go do failover testing on the production side of this app!! YAYAYAYAY!!
