Watch yourself at the ATM...
So I just went to the BofA ATM in the Natomas Marketplace shopping center (where the Wal-Mart is) to deposit some moneys (thanks Aaron!). I put my card in the machine, selected English as my language, selected 'no' because I didn't want a receipt.
Here's where it gets weird.
Normally, I would now be prompted for my PIN, and knowing that, I immediately started to input my PIN. I got two numbers in to it when I noticed that the screen looked different. I looked closer and somehow I had been dropped straight in to the main menu where I could select to deposit or withdrawl of whatever. Normally I would get this screen after putting in my PIN.
So I canceled and bailed. As I was getting in the car I noticed two guys leaning against the wall next at the ATM center where I was (this ATM is not a bank, just a small building in the middle of the shopping center dedicated to ATMing) and they weren't using the other ATM.
So I contacted BofA and let them know what happened and they shut down the machine. Didn't sound like the menu had changed or anything. So if the ATM does non-normal stuff, GTFO and don't put in your info
I don't think any of my info was compromised, but I'll be watching my accounts real close for the next few days.
