I probably won't do this stuff until mid year at least though. We need to get more money in to savings first
You have a stock RS and your first mod is gonna be foglight covers? Damn and I thought I was a ricer.

I don't see how a foglight cover is rice I've already had a broken foglight on my WRX so I would prefer not to have more. Regardless, I have other stuff to spend big money on through the next year (like a wedding) so I'm not gonna go drop a couple thousand to look cool for you

Foglight covers do not add performance. You can get things like a RSB, strut brace, and clear corners (not performance but do more for looks than fog covers) for ~$35 a pop. No need to drop big $$$.

so wait, clear corners, a piece that is not a functional improvement to the vehicle, is not rice, while foglight covers, a piece that prevents equipment breakage (thus INCREASING functionality) is rice.

Get the foglight covers. Save your foglights. I wish they would come out for the 05's.

I'm not sure what the paint code is for the RS. It's on the plaque in the engine bay I'm sure. And, uh, negative on the CF hood unless it's painted. And if we do a CF hood, that is a LONG way down the road.

I was pulling out of a parking spot and turned a little too soon. So soon, in fact, that I drove right over a curb.
I did exactly the same thing last Monday evening. My friend was in town for training and he was staying at a hotel (at company expense). I met up with him and as I started to drive away from the parking spot, I forgot I was parked right next to the curbing and went over it. My friend yelled, "watch out!", but too late. I had to back over it again to get outta there.

No damage to wheel or tire but I didn't think to check the skirt. I should probably have my alignment checked again too because I smacked the curb pretty hard.

I went right over the damn thing. Your situation is just like mine. The only damage to the sideskirt aside from paint was that it looks as though the sideskirt flexed/twisted enough to pop one of the holes over the clip holding it in, and one of the clips cracked. Other than that it's still ok.
