Tewsday

welcome to tuesday


i got a ticket in king city (4 hours south). any way i can schedule my court appearance up here? i dont want to drive down there the night before and have to camp out in my car.

By law you actually don't have to show up to the original court date. You can write a written declaration prior to the court date, to the court that you are scheduled to goto. A written declaration is basically your account of what happened, the ticketing officer then has to write his version of what happen and also submit it to the court(cops do not get paid from what I heart to write these declaration, unlike they get payed over time to goto court... so basically you have a MUCH higher chance of him not doing it and getting a freebie). Then that's it, they will write back telling you if you lost or won. Then you can go from there with traffic school and what not.

my account of what happened: i went ~30 mph over the speed limit and got pulled over


cops account: stupid kid was clocked doing 31 mph over the speed limit so i pulled him over.



am i even eligble for traffic school with that big of a violation?

well if you are trying to get out of it... I don't think that would be a good angle :rotfl:

But there is a suppenna? sp? and that basically says... I am unable to make it to the court house, I plead guilty. Kind of Deal, then it you can get your traffic school stuff, call the court house and ask them how to do it
