ok, so maybe im a ****ed up person. but a guy i met a few times, and he was real good friends with some of my friends died on his bike last night in roseville. he ran a stop sign and t-boned a van. obviously the kid on his bike died, and the occupants of the van (a mom and her 7 year old daughter) were taken to the hospital and released. heres the part where i think im a ****ed up person: i A) have no sympathy for him, and B) i think he was a dumb**** and could have hurt those innocent people. dont get me wrong, he was a cool dude and i hope he rests in peace. but i mean, i cant over look the fact that he killed himself by doing something stupid and almost took a couple people with him. everyone else seems to overlook that he was being a ****stick and got what was commin to him.

if i die while doing something stupid. please dont validate my stupidity and make sure it is well known that i was being a dumbass and paid the price for it. k,thnx.

im not asking for drama here if some of you knew him. but there is no way i could post this on the other board that i heard it from without getting shot.

It's fun work. I just got assigned a new environment build:

20 servers
10 of which should be here tomorrow and need to be built yesterday

Good times Oh and I'm going to learn how to put together an official engineering document, specifying and documenting the build process, etc. It's actually pretty sweet. This is the type of stuff I was doing before the reorg happened in May and is the reason I wanted in to the new position for which I was recently hired.

 

whats up with people driving so retarded these days. Yesterday some dumbass ran a red light as I was getting into the intersection on 80 and arden and today some old lady almost hits me going through the 80 underpass on arden. She decides to hop over the curb and drive into my lane because she thinks the road is splitting.

 

For stuff like that I look at it like this:

* Who knows why he ran a stopsign? Could have been goofing off, could have had a lapse in concentration. I've run redlights by accident, something happen and my focus completely went out the window. Thankfully I didn't hit anyone.

* It always sucks when someone dies. Thankfully the innocent parties did not.

* His poor family.

 

+62 googles.. i was almost broadsided but a dodge truck towing a buncha crap when it ran a stop sign on waterman + sheldon roads a couple weeks ago...thats a bad intersection
