tuning jdm swap

Just curious where you guys (and gals) got your tuning done at? About how much did it cost you? What was your experience like? What EM are you using?

I'm think about going to FW or EQ. But I don't really know how they are at tuning the jdm v8s.

Travis Barnes of Snail Performance is now tuning out of FW, too, and also has a great reputation.

Thanks a bunch fellas, I appreciate it, but I haven't done many JDM swapped setups so I would deffer this to the more seasoned guys mentioned above.

Thanks for the referrals guys. Thanks for chiming in Vladi. I went ahead and messaged snail performance via Facebook and so I'll be bringing my car in to FW sometime next week. He said it would be fine to drive it over on the jdm ecu.. but I really don't like the sound of that.. should I use my usdm wrx ecu instead for the hour drive (yuba city) over? Mix a gallon of race gas in? Lol

If you keep load to a minimum (completely out of boost, very light throttle, etc) and stay in closed loop I don't see any reason why you can't drive it there like that.
