Copper is nuts right now. We're hooking some systems up to the building burg alarms. Two things. One, dudes are trying to get high off of the refrigerant. Two, they are stealing anything copper to sell as scrap.

when we had our AC unit replaced, we had the option of leaving the compressor on the roof or having it on the ground. we left it on the roof, one of the reasons being theft.
