yes.

i only have my permit, already got all my gear, have some very experienced friends that are gonna be with me while im learning, and i am enrolling in the saftey course today. im trying to go about this the right way, i know i can get into a lot of trouble really quick on a 600 as a noob, so i plan on being super safe and taking my time. any comments you have besides "you are going to die" or "a 600 is too much bike for you" are very welcome.

Hmm, I thought BJs usually paid much more then that. Usually for $35/hr all I get is a penguin.

1) you will lay down the bike. Everyone always lays their first bike down. If you have not already, don't worry, you will

2) ride like you believe everyone is out to get you. Always imagine that cars do not see you or are actually trying to hit you. 99% of the time its a car vs bike crash, its because the car did not see the bike. If you ride like that, you will always be aware of what other cars are doing

3) someone pisses you off/cuts you off - fold in their mirror. Best ever, pisses them off and you cannot get in trouble for kicking their door

my first bike was a FZR400, that 600 you are getting is a lot of bike. Respect that and you will be fine

R1200ST
Sport Tourer (winning in my head so far)

K1200S
Gentlemens Sport Bike

K1200R
Naked version of above. Better ergos for me.

wasn't planning on flaming... who would I be to talk, the last year i lived with my parents i made more than either of them.

i learned one important lesson the hard way. toys are fun, but property is far more important.
