Hey and why weren't you wearing your name tag dude? The sad thing is, this kind of stuff follows you into your post college jobs too but it will be stuff like coming in 3 minutes late or wearing the wrong colored pants...

I wasn't on shift yet. The jobs I want the name tag is held in place by clips, prongs or thread. At OD my name tag is held on by two magnets between the fabric of a chest pocket. If i don't take it off it falls off. I'm plenty good to go when it comes to uniforms. (USAF) What bothered me was the way he took on the situation. It wasn't casual "Hey man, where's the name tag?" he was in my face with a tone that was down right hostile. This was less then 30 seconds after meeting each other.

Why is it if you're 3 min late you get in trouble, but if it's 30 min early and no one cares... not even in a good way?

All I know NYR is I don't miss retail one stinking bit... Well not true, I miss the part about working at Software Etc. and actually being able to get a game console on release date. But that's about it.

Check out if a Target is hiring near you. Supposidly they treat there employees real well. I'm actually in the process of getting a job in Folsom, all I have to do now is wait for the drug test results. The management at KOHL'S pissed me off to bad, it makde is not fun to work there anymore so I applied at target. I'll be getting a pay cut, but I'll be happier in the long run... plus no more working over night.

Honestly, we should set something up like that... It was 42 bucks per person with a membership, a fraction more without one... At RPM, we did this little Mini Grand Pri on the Full Course(red bull track)... You get 2 20 lap races(the laps take about 40 seconds each) where they place everyone in the order they feel is best... Then whoever get the best time of the second heat they put in that order for the final race, which is 8 laps... Then whoever wins that race after the 8 laps is the winner...

It was a blast, definitely worth the money... We had 13 people, you get constant back to back racing between heats... no breaks..

I'd be willing to set it up if any of you guys are interested in doing this say in a month or so from now...
your slow *** held me up in the main event. once i got passed you i had no time to catch back up to the top 2 cause you let them make a HUGE gap. GRRRR!!!!!!

Target is ok, not stellar, but ok. They push "branding" VERY heavily there, and there is a good emphasis on recognizing "teammates" for accomplishments. I worked there in Assets Protection however I worked on the floor initially as a requirement for my job in AP, to understand how the floor should work. I also worked on the cash register for a couple weeks to understand the flow of money from their perspective. I HATED pushing those T-cards (Target Credit Cards) You will have to do that. If you don't, you get written up. I hated the color Red by the time I stopped working there. Pay is not that great, but you get a quarter raise quickly :-P benefits are ok. Std 10% off crap from there. There are numerous complaints and I am not necesarily a union sort of person, but there is a strong movement starting to get Target Unionized....not likely :-P interesting nonetheless...you can get some feedback from people that worked there. www.targetunion.org

I just saw Google is looking for a sys admin in Mountain View. Think they'd pay me enough to where I could afford a helicopter for the commute?
