2) Ok fair enough. But you made it sound like it

3) building proper race cars which cost a TON of money and include things like proper shrouding, oil coolers, trans coolers, ect. big boy stuff that costs T$$$$XAS
4) if you're gonna go all custom, I'd highly recommend an EFR

actually if we're dreaming (and let's face it, you are) here's how my "jQQ" build would go:
KillerB ewg header with t3 flange custom added feeding a Borg EFR 7163 going into a grimmspeed tmic
or
Fobiafab low mount or fog-mount mani feeding a borg EFR going into a fmic and then into a reverse IM
there are many other combinations/good parts but those just came to mind quickest

1) I completely believe you. But that doesn't change my original statement, only confirms it.

You're not the first to say EFR. But everyone else is running Garrett. I like that I can get a Garrett solution that is large and stock location.
Yeah. We'll see how it goes. But I think the VF52 will be able to hang with the FMIC I have.

That's where I'm at with it though. I love that I can do everything with my car. I love that I can drive almost the same car at the track on Sunday and then to the office on Monday.

If you're staying stock location I see zero reason to complicate things with a different compressor cover layout that won't fit your oem (read: smog compliant) tmic.
it's like you want the worst of both worlds.

Probably all of them.
compressor cover layout? FMIC is smog compliant.
There's a ***** juice pump around the corner from my place. But it's not at the track. I don't really want to lose space to a meth tank.
